A/C leaking water

I have an 05’ Lexington with a Penguin a/c. The gasket has been replaced and the roof checked for any problems by a professional 2x’s. It is not leaking at the gasket area, but above it. I was told I might have to put a soft cover over the a/c so rain cannot get in the vented area. Has anyone else experienced this???
Please HELP!!!

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Myself I would suspect the drain holes are plugged allowing water from rain to backup into the unit. Check all the drains around the base (with the cover off) and ensure they are not plugged with caulk or debris.

A/c leaking

Drain holes are not plugged, gasket has been replaced 2x’s, roof has been checked for any imperfections.

If you have water leaking in when the AC is not in operation and it is raining and you are sure the gasket is adjusted properly and the drains are all open, then I would guess you have a hole/leak somewhere where the base pan meets the indoor coil. These units are designed to be weather tight and should not need to be covered when its raining.
