Any 255DS owners up for adopting a newbie?

Friends of ours, after spending a significant amount of time reviewing our Sunseeker B+ unit, just bought what appears to be a very well taken care of 2011 Lexington 255DS. They pick it up in a few weeks.

I know he’s going to have questions, and it would be helpful after I get him signed on the Forest River Forums here, to be able to call upon someone or more of you with the same floor plan layout. I’m sure most items only changed slightly across the model years.

How about it? Anyone up for adopting?

I have a 2006 255DS we purchased 6 years ago and love it. So far we have only used it for weekends and one big trip a year (longest so far is 3 weeks). Going forward I hope to take it around the USA.

My unit seems well built, yes I m always working on something. It is different than "new", but everyone who bought new is also always working on something.

The biggest thing you can do to keep it nice is keep water out (or from leaking from the inside). Inspect all the seams or hire someone to do it. Keep up on maintenance.

Feel free to ask questions.
