Crack in the fiberglass cap over the cabin.

Hi all. I just found a crack in the fiberglass cap that is over the cabin on passenger side. It is small and in the corner above the door frame. I have no idea if its been there for a long time, I am the only owner of the motorhome since bought new in 2013 and I didn't use it a lot for the past 3 years. My question is what should I do ?
1) Wait and see (actually it is 2 inches long).
2) Drill a whole at the end of the crack to prevent it from spreading and seal with ProFlex RV.
3) Bring the motorhome to a specialized center to have it repaired or replaced.
4) ???

Thanks in advance for your suggestions/comments.

Just to do some research……see if you can find a good marine repair Center that works on repairing fibreglass hulls on boats, and get their take on what to do.
Then, see if you can find an automobile repair Center that works on Corvettes. Again, they’d know best how to deal with fibreglass repair.

It might be DIY, but I’d check around.

BTW….I have the same fibreglass cap on our Sunseeker, so I’d be interested in what you find……just in case.

I would drill and seal, wait and see, then follow kenandterry's advice if it gets worse.

Thanks for your comments. I drilled a hole and sealed with ProFlex RV. Now I will wait until next long trip to see what happens with road stress. I'll give you some feedback after that.

After a trip from Florida to Montréal, around 1800 miles, everything seems to be stable. I will continue to monitor the crack and will only come back to you if the situation deteriorates.
