Cutting in a new roof vent

Hello all, Have spent the winter doing over my 2005 Lexington210 (rear door) inside is done and starting on the solar install. I want to install a new fan in the front area of the roof and would like to know where the framing is. Can not find any framing plan. Can anyone help out.

In those years, probably, roof was made on wooden «trusts» and frame with isolating wool.

If so, a stud finder could help.

Also looking at the roof at morning dew might show cues.

Good luck!

Look inside for a speaker or a light you can remove. You can also cut a hole in a closet ceiling. Patch is not critical. Flat return air grills work great.

Well I went for it and cut into the roof. The framing supports in the front section of the roof, at least, are front to rear of the RV, of which I had to cut one of the aluminum "rafters". One tricky part is that the center of the aluminum rafters are used a wire chases, so be careful.
All worked well.
