Dining Table on Lexington 210-Poor Design

In my humble opinion, the design of the dining table, on the 2007 Lexington 210 in particular, is terrible. Yesterday I saw a 2017 Forest River unit and it had a redesigned dining table that looked much better. Does anyone know if I can have the new table installed on my 2007 Lexi210? I called Forest River Customer Service but have not heard back. I attached a picture, looks like a much better design. Click image for larger version

looks like a knee knocker to me. but I agree that the OEM mounting methods aren't very good even in my 2006 283 GTS.

Knee Knocker

Yeah it might be a bit of a knee knocker but the design appears to be far seperior to the existing design.
I spoke with someone from Forest River who said it it not recommended to install the newer designed table. I hope that someone has and can provide some assurance there is a way to install the new design.
Thanks for your comments.

Is the picture showing the table assembly that is actually in your 2007 Lexi or the new model on the 2017 FR vehicle?

Sorry I was not very clear, this is the new design that I believe is better than the stock solution. This appears to be more stable and easier to convert to the bed.

The picture shows exactely the one we have in our 2012 Lexi 265.

In fact it is very easy to lower it to make a bed.

But it is wobbling laterally (Horizontally) and I did't find a fix yet, still searching.

The best table I did see is the one my daughter has in her Allegro MH. It is attached to the wall with a bracket assembly and has a folding T shaped leg; It is sturdy and quite easy to make a bed with. Simplicity is often the solution.

Here is what we have now, this is really unstable and not very easy to set up to a bed and back again. Has anyone made modifications to two this design to make it better?

This is the design we have, it is really a poor design. Has anyone come up with a modification to better stabilize this design?

As I already mentioned this desing is basicly the same that my daugter MH has as a table.

The modifications that has been made are:
--- change the folding leg to a T shaped model, more sturdy;
--- removal of the U shaped rod of the attachment, more easy to lower to make a bed.
