Galley Backsplash Idea
The Lexington 283 GTS we purchased didn't have a range hood/vent installed and the vent to the exterior of the coach was blocked off. Why? .... who knows.....
In any case, I installed a new range hood. While I was at it, my wife suggested we add a stone backsplash to protect the wall behind the burners. We decided to extend the backsplash to the sink area in an attempt to tie the two galley areas together.
The product we used is called Aspect Stone Peel and Stick in a color called "Weathered Quartz" It's trimmable with a pair of tin snips which was an important factor given the curved walls of the Lexington.
It's reasonably easy to install and the results look pretty good. It's not inexpensive but it looks like the stone will last a while, protecting the back wall of the cooktop area from any burner heat.
