Help - Why isn't my house battery charging off shore or generator

2004 Lexington 270 GTS. I'm not getting any charge to the house batteries when it's plugged in to shore or when the generator runs. Is there a trouble shooting guide to help me figure out what is wrong. It does charge from the engine alternator when I drive it. I found the small 5 amp fuse blown on the left side of the "Bird" that I found in a thread on this forum...didn't seem to help with shore charging though. Any suggestions?
Thanks. Trevor

Have you checked your converter output? when on shore power or generator? If it is the converter a workaround is to use a stand alone battery to charge the house batteries.

I second the converter output theory... I’ve seen that issue once in our Lexington.

Don't forget to check the converter's fuses at the back.

We had that issue. The problem for us, in our 270GTS was the battery itself. We had the deep cycle (standard) batteries. What we didn’t know at the time is… if the battery falls below 50% at anytime, it diminishes the charge going forward. Basically, kills the battery quickly and eventually won’t charge. We bought new batteries and the issue never repeated until we accidentally drained the battery down to 0% twice while boon docking. That lead to less run time. We’re now going to upgrade to lithium because they can be drained down to 0% without degrading the battery’s ability to charge or maintain a charge. Also, make sure the battery disconnect is in the on position :-).
