Patio awning

I need to replace the awning on my 2008 Lexington 283GTS. Anyone know the best place to shop?

I use the internet and have boughten off ebay and others suppliers. My experience is if you order fabric form the big name you pay allot more for the same material from the internet supplier. I use duckduckgo and search "replacement awning fabric". Something to remember the fabric will be about 6" or so shorter then then the length of your awning pole.
good luck

Thanks, Seadog. Easy installation?
I don't really want to lose that much coverage

When I told you about the length that is how the mfg size the cloth. You measure your awning tub say 16' and the cloth for that size will be about 15'8" thats how it is with awning covers. It is well within the DIY for most folks you will need help. Look at the videos on youtube for your type of awning (manual or electric) Also if you have a problem and the spring gets away from you the standard preload is 12 turns.

there are many suppliers of awning fabric only
just have to complete some searches of the internet...
the install with a friend should also be easy enough
many youtube videos on the various models of awning...

good luck

There are two types of fabric, acrylic and vinyl. Acrylic supposedly "breathes" better and is cooler to sit under, but is not totally waterproof. You first need to decide which one you prefer. Most suppliers only sell one or the other. We went from acrylic to vinyl and are very happy.

We purchased a 13' Shade Pro awning fabric though Amazon for $164 and after we installed it, we noticed two tiny pinholes in the fabric about a foot apart. I notified Shade Pro and they replaced the entire order without asking me to send the other one back. So now I have a spare if I ever need it!
