Replace combo range and microwave

The range/microwave abomination crapped out on my Lexington 235 on a trip a couple of years ago. We bought one of the few available from the nearest Walmart. When we got home I tore it all out as well as the useless unvented range hood. I was too lazy to tear out the entire counter, especially after I found a closely matching countertop at Lowes. A few pieces of scrap wood painted black worked for the frame around the microwave. Bought an induction plate to replace the gas burners and cut it into the counter from Lowes. Used the 12 volt feed for the range hood to add another light under the cabinet. Been down the road many times since and everything is holding up well.

If anyone knows the secret to posting an upright picture, I could obviously use the help.

PS To any one who read my post about adding fans to my fridge: I started it around 2pm yesterday after finishing the converter replacement. Outside and inside temp was 77, sun was shining on the fridge side of the RV. Fridge temp was 67. 3 and a half hours later the fridge temp was 37 with all the fans set on max. Some mods are worth the trouble.

Looks good! Did you add the fridge fan inside the fridge or just on the "stack" in back?

Looks good. Did the same except in my Lexington it didn't come with a micro. I took out the oven and installed a microwave. But you mentioned you took out your UNVENTED hood fan. Why was your hoodfan not vented. Did it come like that from the factory..

I added fans to both the roof (pull) and the wall vent (push). Also put the dual fans inside the fridge. Might have been overkill, but now the fridge cools a lot faster and stays cool even through 90 degree days.

Yeah. Fan was unvented, just a noise maker and obstruction. Perhaps it was unvented because kitchen is on the back wall and might have drawn exhaust fumes through a vent while traveling. Seemed silly to me that Forest River would bother putting it in there.
