Dear Admin,

I do thank you for your hard work maintaining a site like this... AND herding us cats.

BUT, When reading a long posting, they often jump out of sight due to a new sized popup add being stuck in the reading column. Putting ads in fixed frames or having ads only in the sidebar would solve the issue.

Hi Gene - Are you logged in when you are seeing this? If so, can you tell me what sort of device your using (laptop, tablet, etc) and what browser?

I had to go back and check it out... It happens only when not logged in.

My environment: PC W10 Pro using Chrome Browser. Logged or not
Or Ipad using chrome and usually not logged in. I need to sync my devices.

OK - thanks for the report. Please login - you will se many fewer ads.

Ads are a necessary evil - we survive on ad revenue but the goal here is to show them mostly to non-members, with fewer for members who are logged in.

I'm on a Samsung note 10 and get the same thing whether I'm logged in or not. I use the Samsung browser.

Have you tried the FR green app? I never use the browser on my Samsung phone because the app is SO much easier.

Adjust your browser and clear your history. You will get a lot less pop-ups. I will save web pages in a special folder in my favorites that I can edit out at a later time.

If you use the FRF app, you never see popups or ads.
