Ads squeeze the content on mobile

Is there anyway to remove the ads on the right side of the screen on mobile devices that take up a third of the screen in portrait mode and make the actual forum posts into a little narrow column on the left side? It makes me not even want to use the site anymore on my phone.

Have you tried the FRF app instead of the website? Much easier.

I'll give it a try but I don't understand why the site admins would want to make the site virtually unusable on a mobile device via chrome. I don't like having to install another app for every website I want to look at on my phone.

Again, use an ad blocker on your Chrome mobile web browser.
Here is one...

Stop Ad

On EDIT: I see Stop Ad is no longer available for download. (although mine still works) I'm sure there are others.

The simple answer would be to turn your phone sideways and view it in landscape mode if you have autorotate enabled.

part of the reason there are different apps available for sites is the aspect ratio. You are trying to view a website designed for a computer screen but then viewing it on a phone screen in portrait mode. The mobile apps take care of this and change the layout to fit this portrait mode of the phone screens aspect ratio.

You can turn off that right column if you wish. Go to your user control panel, profile, edit details, and scroll to the bottom for the on/off option.

If you turn it off, you also won't be able to see the recent discussions as it's also located in the far right column.
