Well, I don't blame them in a way ... But are they hiding because they have no intention of fixing the issues or are they afraid of being overwhelmed by questions and requests ? Sorry it had to be asked

Need Help Please
My husband and I purchased a 2006 Gulfstream Cavalier. We hooked a water hose up to it and you get cold water in the bathroom sink but no hot water. There is no water coming out of the kitchen sink at all. When you go outside there is two gray lines under where water is coming out of both. Is there a plug that goes on that line or what is it for? Someone please help us because we are like so clueless.

Go here and get your answers - Gulf Stream Owners RV Forum • Index page
that is for Gulfstream owners of FEMA trailers - you will get more help there then you will on this site since this site is Forest River Specific and has nothing to do with Gulfstreams on top of the fact that you have posted this all over the place and in the wrong forums since it is in left field compared to what the original post was about

I followed this site for some time before joining. The information that I received help me make my decision to buy a Berkshire. I am a fairly new member with just a few posts, but I posed this question based on my experience with the manufacturer of the 5th wheel I previous owned. They had a Ask The Factory thread on their forum, a factory rep administered and moderated the forum since it was an official forum of the manufacturer. Maybe I'm assuming too much here, but I thought that this was a FR official forum administered and moderated by a factory rep, if it's not then a thread to ask factory questions certainly won't work. If it is it would be a good way for FR to track issues common to a specfic product and make improvements. Presenting a rude attitude rarely resovles issues. JMHO

RnR, I've watched this thread for the past few days and I bet you didn't think this would get the response it did, did you? It's a good thing.
Fortunately or unfortunately; this is not an official FR forum (as far as I know). But I think that's fortunate because most corporate forums tend to be less-than-helpful as they will attract either nonobjective fanboys or those with a grudge and a desire to tell the world; but rarely an intelligent, fair and considerate sampling of the population.
I think what we have here is a good sampling and I also think FR knows that and watches this forum. I know I would if I were an executive.
Our posts might not get a direct answer from the factory but I imagine that the forum gives FR food for thought and, hopefully, that leads to improvements.

I can speak with a certain amount of confidence when I say that the forum is watched closely by many FR execs/reps and there is tremendous consideration given to the comments and feedback from all the posts.
Also, I can confirm that this forum is 100% administered by owners/moderators and not by FR.
Have a great holiday!

Oh goodie ! That makes it more pleasant to keep contributing here, thanks RV Guy ! I was wondering if I should take the pictures of the RV's at a dealer's lot which has the same problem my trailer had to the factory folks and show it to them.
As you all know my trailer had leaks at the slideout, and the factory repaired it and explained to me (kindly enough) what the problem was. When I was visiting my local dealer, I saw ALL of the Surveyor's there having the same issue I am thinking maybe the cold climate here is a factor. I would hate to see this go unnoticed, I will take my pictures to the factory and show them how things look when they are sitting at the dealer's lot. I know they do not leave the factory like that.
I am hoping that we will have one sub forum where we can have access to an FR representative, or per product, one day.
We might have to moderate thet sub forum a little bir more frequently maybe, but, I am sure it could be made to work. These are the news times we were told would come, and what better way for a company to get in touch with their customer's and listen to them .... for positive and negative feedback ....

I have a 2007 surveyer that came with these turn style latches t keep the tip-ins in place. I have seen other 2007 with a much nicer latch system now in place. Any ideas where to get them from?

Hi Lorraine,
Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately this thread is not an actual ask the factory thread where company people will answer questions. We were just talking about how nice it would be for them to be present on our form.
Having said that, I assume you have a hybrid. Unfortunately I can not answer your question, but I am sure others will chime in. If you post this in the Hybrid's/expendables relevant section, you will probably get a faster response : Expandables - Forest River Forums

This is an interesting discussion. Just to confirm - the forum is not affiliated with Forest River, although some associated with Forest River are registered here. The forum is open to all who desire to participate so long as they do so within the parameters of of community rules (including the "be nice" parts).
One of the very cool things about a forum is that members can help members and often very unique solutions and suggestions come from that interaction.
