Bold vs fine print

What determines whether a thread title is in bold print or fine print?

I’m sure I’m missing the obvious somewhere.

Thanks to all you moderators at the Forum.

If the title is bold, it means there has been some change to it since you last viewed it.
If the title is not bold, you've opened it since its last change.

So.....

I should just read the BOLD ones because they stand out better.

I’ve already read the fine print ones, but with my memory the way it is these days, I’ve already forgotten, and it’s your way of letting me know.

Thanks

Ha! I'd like to take credit. . . but the software has been doing this since before I joined the forum.
