Cannon Beach Rally
How come there was no mention in the rally area of this rally being open for registration? Now, it's to late...

It is a FROG Rally, not a Forest River Forum Rally.
If there are Forum members who are also FROG members who want to solicit Forum friends to go with them they start a thread here. If there are Forum members who are hosting a FROG rally, they create a thread and PM a Moderator who can "Stick" their thread.
If there has been little or no interest in a particular FROG rally, it may not even get posted here.
In the Oregon Rally case, there IS a "Stuck" Thread http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ml#post1413963
Sorry you missed it.

I visit the FROG web page often to keep up with FROG hosted as well as FROG member Rallies that show up almost monthly.
I wish I could have gone out to Oregon this year, but we will most likely be flying to San Diego to visit the southern CA Herks ...
Maybe next year since we have family in Portland, Oregon and the Seattle WA area.

Problem is they post the rally on Frog page and not here. As You copied a thread from the Frog site and never a word over here when we registered as to if the folks doing ever responded here to our e-mails. very frustrating when this happens. Later RJD

OK Lou then why do we have any Forest River FROG Rally posted here?
Seems that this only helps the group.
But if you say that is true then we need to remove Bob from posting anything about FROG rally's Forest River does around the country.
The point is in past years ALL the rally got posted here.

Just who did all the posting of rallys here? Must be a failure of communication lately. Later RJD

The answer to that should be whomever the OP is in each rally thread.
I am about to edit this thread with some clarifications:

Almost never by the Forum Moderators, Iggy. In fact, most often it was you.

OK, just so everyone is on the same page as to what F.R.O.G. is, which is abbreviated for Forest River Owners Group and is a way for FR owners to get together at events and have fun. It is owned and operated by Forest River, Inc...... and although the name is similar to our Forest River Forums/FRF..they are two different things. Forest River Inc, runs FROG, but they do not own or control us at FRF.
Here is their definition of FROG:
Forest River Owners' Group - Who We Are
The Forest River Owners' Group, or FROG™, is made up of Forest River and affiliated brand RV owners from all across the United States and Canada, dedicated to having fun and enjoying the RV lifestyle, however they define it. Maybe the open road has called you full time. Perhaps you can just get away on an occasional weekend. Some of us love the adventure of traveling the open highways with friends, sharing the adventure. For others, there's pleasure in the solitary trips that let us explore the small towns and the back roads of the countryside.
Some of the happy campers at our annual International FROG Rally!
Maybe you love tailgating at your favorite professional or college sporting event, or at the local youth game. You might thrill to the roar of the crowd as cars race down the final straightaway to take the checkered flag, or maybe the quiet of a babbling brook tumbling over rocks is more your speed.
No matter how you define your RV lifestyle, you know what you like. And that's why we think you'll like FROG. Whoever you are, whatever you enjoy, and wherever you go, FROG is for you.
----------------------------------------------
Now FROG can have several types of events. Some are wholly sponsored and run by Forest River Inc, and one of the greatest people you will ever meet, Bob Byrne....who along with his fantastic wife, Cindy, diligently work extremely hard to manage and host these events for the satisfaction of FR RV owners.. Bob Byrne is a Forest River employee. The annual event in Goshen is the biggest of the company FROG events....but it is so large, it has many volunteer FROG members assist in it too,
Another type of event is a FROG member hosted event, which is done with FROG approval and some help/sponsorship from FROG, but the member(s) are the ones really calling the shots and taking upon themselves the responsibility of getting all the hard work done that an event requires.
Whether it's a FR company FROG event, or a FROG member event, they get listed on the FROG site. Whether or not they get cross-posted to our forums depends on if anyone takes it upon themselves to do such. We do allow the cross-posting of FROG event, and even have a sub-section for them, since it benefits FROG members and FRF members, who have a lot of the same members....but not always.
You could have a FROG member, who hosts a FROG event, but isn't a member of FRF...so they don't post any of their event information here. The only place you would see it is on the FROG site....unless somebody else takes it upon themselves to cross-post it here too.
We highly encourage that, if you perhaps see an event on the FROG site but not here. Most people reading this are Forest River owners, and may would like the opportunity to meet up and share the fun with other FR owners. The more we can share the information of these events, then maybe the more people that can have fun at them and make great memories with their fellow campers.
This cross-posting is strictly voluntarily done, and is not a requirement for any member (FROG and/or FRF), the site team, nor Bob Byrne.
If I am incorrect on any of this, hopefully Bob Byrne (who is a FRF member too) will see this and correct any misinformation.
PS. There are an awful lot of Bob's in this too that may get confused. The host of the Canon Beach Blast is Bob Cowan...not to be confused with Bob Byrne of FROG, nor Bob Caldwell of the West Coast
