Did dealer's post get moved?
I and a number of others were just commenting on an RV dealer's questions about what we would like to see on a dealer's website. Now, I can't find it. I thought it was a good opportunity to give input about what would be helpful to us when we are shopping around on the net. It didn't seem to me like it was advertising on his part. I did a search in case it just got moved, but couldn't find it. Thanks.

Yes, it has been (probably) "temporarily" deleted pending moderator input.
I have been in touch with the OP, and some issues have been worked out. We are very careful on the forum that a dealer does openly advertise his business, and I think that has been addressed, but I still waiting on a couple of other moderator inputs.

Cool. Thanks for your response. If it is not deemed usable, perhaps someone could start a thread that would address the questions the dealer was asking. I think many of us would like to provide some input on what he was inquiring about. There seemed to be some pretty good responses.
Also, in one of my responses to him, I included a dealer link that I thought was a good example of what I think is necessary information to provide on a dealer website. Should I refrain from doing that type of thing?
Anyway, I think we all appreciate your vigilance in making sure our site is not abused. Thanks.

Even if he wasn't advertising, his is a business - and businesses pay people who help them improve their operations.
That said, I usually don't offer my help to a for-profit business without being paid for it. In this case - I did b/c I think we're all pretty interested and these were rather general ideas - and nothing would stop another dealer from reading that thread and also accessing our "free help".
Guess I'll go see if my comment made it - I was typing when it got pulled.

Hmmm, I didn't see that right off. Maybe that post didn't make it when I temporarily pulled the thread.
We all link to other websites. But maybe linking to another dealer website in this instance might not be the best. We always have these gray areas.

I certainly see your point. I have sent that link to him in a PM.
