I've recently run into a minor annoyance that occurs the on the first thread I try to open. This is after being off the forum long enough for my logon to have expired.
Using Firefox, I start by reading an e-mail notice of an update to a thread. I click on the link to the thread and a new tab opens. The page looks to load and a second or two later flashes and tries to open again. This cycle happens continuously until I close the tab. I can not click on anything on the page (logon tab). If I retry the same link, the problem recurs. However, if I try to open any other link - either from the daily update or a different notification, the page loads properly. After I get the second page loaded (at which point I log on), I can go back to the first page I tried and it will open correctly.
I don't specifically remember when this started happening, but it has been a week or so.
This is on a Dell laptop, Windows 10, Firefox 65.0.1 (64-bit) and I think Edge 42.17134.1.0 (I don't use Edge as much). I use an expanded HOSTS file as ad blocker.
This is a minor annoyance and I've figured out my work-around so I'm just notifying the site crew. Though I wouldn't be unhappy if the problem got fixed.
