Forum keeps logging me out
Recently, I keep having to log back into the forum, even if I've been away for only a few hours or less. This was not happening before. I am using Google Chrome with cookies enabled, and it happens even when I haven't deleted cookies, which I will do on occasion (and I do expect to be logged out then).

My experience has been that it automatically logs you off somewhere between 1 -2 hours. I haven't noticed any change in this lately.

Might try contacting the help desk and inquiring about this. Might be something simple such as a setting that got changed.
See "Contact Us" in green banner at the botton of the page.

This issue may be Chrome specific.
I notice it happens on my banking sites as well. Even though I have not cleared cookies, the bank will not detect that my computer is the same one I always use and asks to "revalidate" my computer. This is my indication that the chrome cookie cache has been flushed.
There may be a Chrome setting that turns that off.

Some banking sites will log you out if there is no input for even a few minutes, its a security thing, and thats with IE and probably all browsers so the banking thing is probably not browser specific.

I meant auto log-off after 1 - 2 hours of inactivity.

You misunderstood. It is not "logging me out"; it is loosing the cookie that identifies my computer as a "valid log in source."
My bank uses a validated IP address to "pre-clear" the connection.
If the IP address is "not recognized" as a computer I used previously to correctly log on, it adds additional levels of security (questions) on top of the normal username/password.
That information is stored on a cookie in the browser's cookie cache. The web site checks the cache for the "good cookie" it put there the last time I logged in successfully. If not there, it asks the upgraded security questions.

I was having the exact same issue with IE. I changed to Firefox and the problems went away.

The odd thing is, for the past week, it hasn't logged me out, even though I am still using Chrome.

Are you checking the 'Remember Me' box next to your login ID? If not, that will result in the forum logging you out after a period of time.
