Forum malware
I have some type of malware that only hijacks postings on this forum. It does not affect any other internet programs. Basically when I click on a thread to read it my screen changes to a page informing me that I have been selected to receive a $1,000 Amazon gift card or some such, inviting me to "click here", which I never do. The only way to clear it is to close the web page and start a new one. It happens at random and a thread that triggers it works fine on the next try. I'm using a Samsung tablet (and sometimes an android phone.) Any suggestions?

I get this once in a while on my android phone. After a couple times, it stops.

I have an ad blocker on my Samsung phone and tablet.
I never get such ads.

Don't know what browser you're using, but try clearing your cache. Also, if you have some kind of anti-virus program, you may want to run it and see if it finds anything.

I am running a popup blocker, no ad blocker that know of. I am running a virus blocker, getting clean scans. Strange it only happens on this forum.

I’m getting the same thing on my iPad but it’s for some kind of Google gift card. The only way to close it is to close the page.

I get the same offer on both iPad Samsung phone and Samsung tablet but all at different sites. I’m sure it has to do with the sites add programs

I think you are getting the offers through your cell providers. If I use google chrome on my android phone through USCelluar then I get adds and offers. If I use the firefox app from mozilla and enter the site like I do on my laptop, I never get adds or offers. The only difference is I have to log-in to FRF just like on my laptop.
BTW, I can't stand using FRF's app on my phone or pad, so I use them the same as my computer
