Forum phishing

Every day I would get 2-3 e-mails telling me of all the new posts on the forum.A couple of days ago I stopped recieving them. Today I was watching my e-mails load and the FF e-mail appeared and in about 5 sec the word phishing popped up and the e-mail went away. Any body have an Idea what has happened and how I can correct it. I have not made any changes on my computor but maybe it recieved an update that caused this.Sorry if I posted in the wrong place but I don't know where this belongs. Thank You Mike

It sounds like a filter got updated in your email program. I get things redirected to my spam folder all the time. Check your settings

Yep - sounds like your email service provider updated their SPAM detection software.

Who do you use for email?

I have vista and I use windows mail. When I find the safe senders list would I type in forest river forums .com . I found settings that said if it suspected it was phishing it would send it to junk mail .Well once again it marked as phishing and went away. I wonder if I lower my spam settings it might help. Thank You Mike

I believe that if you go into the junk email folder that should show on the left side of your Windows Mail screen, you can select one of the wayward emails you want to get... right click while pointing at that email, then select from the drop down men... ADD to Safe Senders list

hope that is right for that program

Thank you , i found the safe senders box and I put the FF forum domain in there.whats happening to me is wierd, normaly anything suspected of phishing gets sent to the junk mail and turns red.I watch the post load and in a few seconds it says phishing and dissapears. It does not go to junk mail. Real odd Well I made changes and lets see what happenings. again thanks Mike

Do not ever have 2 anti virus programs active on your computer. They fight each other and viruses can walk right in. I used to see this all the time when I was a geek at Best Buy.

download and run Malwarebytes... make sure you install the FREE version
uncheck Start Free Trial during install

https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/sem/

Malwarebytes ONLY runs when you ask it to (therefore does NOT run and fight any other installed AV program as accumack correctly says) and will find viruses others miss ... Malwarebytes is MY 1st goto program to fix hundreds of infected computers over the years.

IF you find a virus indication from Malwarebytes, which I suspect you might, then do what it says to do AND reboot and run it again, until it finds NO signs. You can then run it weekly when you go to bed AFTER manually doing a data update.

Malware bytes is great and was one of my favorites when nothing else would remove something. Every anti virus program has its' strengths. When I retired my wife and I bought macbook airs and haven't looked back.
