FRF Site Problems
Is anyone else having problem with the FR forum? Lately I have had trouble getting into the forum. When I bring up the forum it hangs at the home page with just the headers showing and no way to look at the postings. I need to come out and then go back in several times before I get a response so that I can see the postings.
Thanks

I'm not having that issue either. You might want to send a message to the help desk, who are more savvy with this than I am. You can also reach them through the Contact Us link at the very bottom of your screen. Let us know if it continues.

I have the same problem with pages loading half way. Using the refresh button helps somewhat there still a problem. Same issue on 3 computers, 2 different servers.

Isn't it time for a moderator or someone to look into this? How many reports do you need in order for someone to take action?

Forwarded this thread to the help desk that I referenced in post #3.
Let's see what they can do.

I'm sorry you are having trouble loading pages. Since not every member has the same surfing experience, it's often really tough to diagnose these issues. For me, the site loads quickly but it's possible that there's a slow down somewhere between our server and your screen. You can help us ID the issue by doing a tracert (trace route) test. This can let us know it it's an ad loading slowly, a connection issue, or some more local issue.
Here are some directions to do that.
I've seen a number of issues in the last couple of days with folks who had some out of date info cached. The godaddy mess a few days ago caused some advertisers and image hosting companies to make some changes and their old links may be bad. This slows things down as your browser tries to find them.
Some other things you can do: Empty temp browsing history and files
Make sure your browser and plugins are up to date
Make sure that you have java up to date.

Yes I noticed it today only in the forum but when I selected files from the top menu it loaded that screen then went back to forum and hung again.
It seams the server location i the forum may need to checkthe database having some issues.

Same thing happened again today. Deleted browsing history, browser is ie9, ran virus scans, compressed hard drive, and problem still exists. This is the only site that is giving me a problem.

Same thing is happening to me. 3 different computers, 2 different locations. In fact, it took 3 times to post this message.

I haven't noticed any problems in the past few days.
I tried the tracert command and found the first 2 attempts were successful at <1ms. Tries 3 to 30 timed out.
Try #1 went to 172.24.26.1.
Try #2 went to 172.24.193.81.

Thanks for the tracert results - they are extremely helpful as we continue to look at this issue.

I just wanted to let you know that you guys are not alone in this as I'm having the same issues. Believe me that I do understand!
Janet - I do appreciate that this matter is being researched. Hopefully a cure will be found whether or not it's from here, my computer settings or through my Internet provider.
