How do I start a new POLL?
Noticed we have a "polls" forum but for the life of me I can't
figure out how to start a new poll.
New threads, no problem but what about a poll?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Thanks!!
Dan D.

Hi Dan,
To start a poll, you'll need to post a new thread here. On the new thread page, type a description(or short message) of what the poll is about. Scroll down to ADDITIONAL OPTIONS. You'll see an option to Post new poll. Check the box next to Yes, post a poll with this thread.

Apparently that option is only open to admins and moderators.
Peons like myself don't see any "additional options for polls".

I think if you go to main menu then select FORUM then go down the page and click on POLLS that is where I think you can start a new poll, because on the left hand side as you go down you will see a block that says NEW THREAD, then it should prompt you from that point. Put in your subject title like a normal thread.

Start a new thread in the area you want to place the poll
Scroll down to the bottom of the message to the box that gives you the choice to place a poll and mark the yes button.
Hit start new thread.
You then are directed to the poll area where you can place your poll question and up to four choices.
Hit create new poll.
If that doesn't work, send me a message with everything you want and I'll set it up for you.

Hokie, I just tried what you said for the umpteenth time.
There is NO poll box or check box or any mention of poll anywhere
on old posts or on a brand new one......
Admins and moderators yes.
Regular dudes like me, nope......
Here is all I see
Miscellaneous Options
Show your signature
Automatically parse links in text
Disable smilies in text
Attach Files
Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

If you like, you can add a score for this thread.
Nothing about a poll.
I was going to tag onto the current thread where some guy was
asking if folks stored their RV at home or on a lot somewhere.
I thought it would be perfect for a poll but I don't have the
authority to create one apparently.
Seems like a forum titled POLLS would let members start one.....

Well I checked the permissions and for some reason regular members cannot post polls. I am not sure why since rockwood06 posted one a while back. I will look into it to see what is going on. I don't want to screw up the whole forum by changing something just yet.

If you don't know how to work the stove, better
stay out of the kitchen!!
How about you going to the POLL forum and starting one
that asks
Do you store your RV at your home?
or
Do you store it at a storage lot which is some distance from home?
&
you could maybe one day start another one that asks
Do you store your RV under shelter- either a roof or tarp?
Do you store your RV out in the weather- no shelter or cover?
You know..... just for fun!
Thanks!

I did set up a poll on " What do you cook on while camping " It's posted under "polls" but it did not show up on the main page like the dry camping poll and there has been two replies, I just check it.
