Could someone please tell me how to raise the top manually. My battery died last weekend and I had to borrow jumper cables to raise and lower the top. I have a black long handled tool that came with the tent trailer but I have no idea where it goes??
I don't have personal experience with this, but I found a reference on another website for a 2008 HW256 and it was stated that:

...the lift is on the A frame, it has a plug on the top of the winch cover on the left side that you remove and the manual crank is there. Mine was covered with grease so I had to dig a little to get to it, the socket size is 7/16 inch...
