Go to gallery on android phone. Select picture then edit then adjustment then to resize to what % you like and save. Hope it works. Resized image should be in a new album. Select newly resized picture and go to more info to see size.

Just tried a pic that was:
2272 x 1704
1.04 mb
And failed upload.
I don't think my DSL speed is the cause because I have been watching YouTube for the last 2 hours with little buffering.
I've noticed on my camera, there is a setting to reduce the size of the pic. But that is before the pic is taken.
I know a couple of you have mentioned an app that would reduce the pic size, but I'm puzzled that things were doing ok up until a few weeks ago.
Janet H, are you sure that there is no problem with FRF?

Respectfully, I will say that FRF admin is trying to blame this on all of us individually; that we either don't know what we are doing, have bad speeds or bad equipment rather than get ticket (trouble that is) to who can actually fix the issue and fix the issue. Since my first upload fail, I haven't been able to upload at all. Just tell me, that isn't something offered on this site anymore... but tell me something, please.
Edit: after posting the above, just for grins, I was able to change my avatar. for what that's worth.

This time out problem is not a user problem, It is a FRF problem which they do not know how to fix. I have never had a problem before, I have not changed anything at all on my camera for over 3 years. This problem really started about 3 weeks ago. To me not being an IT guy it seems that the system is getting overloaded at times. If you notice at certain times of the day it happens more often, When it happens look at the bottom of the page and see how many people are on line. Sometimes when I also hit submit it will set there for a min. or 2 and then load. My download and upload speeds are always the same so it is not a members problem. I just keep doing it until it takes maybe up to 5x's. All that does is make the band with smaller at FRF end. when it works you can see it being uploaded mine will get stuck about at 75% then I know it will time out. If it loads then within a 1/2 min it shows the attached symbol. So reducing the size has nothing to do with it, as they keep saying.

Since I don't pay anything to use FRF, I'm not going to bad mouth them. I know the MODS have a very daunting task to do on a daily basis. They know there is a problem with some of us(in more ways than 1!) and hopefully will find a solution and get it figured out.

I don't know if they know there's a problem. Those who have replied and tried to help, thank you. I see nearly the same forum look on other sites. It is probably some kind of hosted product / service. But. it is broke... Not slow... Doesn't work every 25th time... BROKE!
