Ipad

Does any else have trouble with this forest river app on a ipad. It seems to lock up and several of the features don't work unless you close the app or restart the ipad. Just curious

Yes, it's been ongoing for awhile. The problem I have is that the right side of the app becomes unresponsive while holding the iPad in landscape. The developer is working on a solution but the time frame is unknown right now.

I suggest the following...

Shut down the iPad and restart.
Turn the iPad so its in Portrait (not landscape).
Open the FRF app while in portrait.

Once the app is opened, you can turn back to landscape if that is how you normally work. This solution works for me.

Instead of using the app version try using the full site. It has been working well for me on the iPad.

Instead of shutting the iPad all the way off you can exit the app and press the button on the front 2xs. And then all your open apps will appear in a line on the bottom...press the app pic on bottom and it will exit the app

yeah - meh. When I consider that I could be typing this from a campground, half-way across a continent, in a heated and cooled traveling home for 8 - AND it posts near instantaneously - then yeah, I forgive a little bugginess.

Ps you need to hold the app pic down for a second first then a (-) sign will appear...press and then app exits...works same on iPhone as well

I figured that out. Very useful procedure. Guess I should have read the iPad manual

I also use the full web site version and have zero problems. Sometimes the app versions are not worth the trouble plus they sometimes limit you. Just goto safari and log onto forestriverforums.com. Before you do that delete the app from your iPad. If you get a pop up asking you if you want to install the app, just decline it. Once you get to forest river forum site you can add it to your home screen so it will come up like an app at the push of an icon.

I downloaded the app but it never did work right so I just use a bookmark in the browser and it works fine.

Have you installed the update that came out a couple of months ago? After installing the update is when the problem occurs. For those who have installed the update or have the new app TRIGUY's method works for me too. I like the FR app and prefer it over the web version.

I use the web rather than the app. If you use landscape the App is a pain

I didn't install the updates and rarely use landscape so maybe that explains it

I had iPhone problems about a month ago, where I would get 30-50 notifications on threads that were weeks old. I deleted the app because even turning off notifications didn't help. Installed app again a week or so ago and everything is fine.
