“Liked” change

I sure would like to see a “liked” button. It makes it easy to read big threads and skip to the most liked responses. Thanks.

Even with the message boards I've been on that have "like" systems, I've never seen a way to skip to posts with the most likes in a particular thread...?

I was a member of a site that had a "Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down" voting system for posts. There was a setting in the system (unknown to members) that had posts with an excessive number of thumbs down votes to just not show up after a while. Kind of a "self weeding" process.

Can't recall the forum software used but it was unique. In a way it was kind of a self moderating forum.

I think it should be easy to use a like button to show which threads are "highly rated" by readers just like the ratings for products on sites like Amazon. In the listing of threads those with more stars might be attractive to those searching for things to rea than those with fewer or none.

Uhhh, if you use the full site, we do have a rating system for threads.

Then when you look at a subforums title page, you can see the ratings for each thread in it.

If you click on the "rating" word in the menu bar, it will let you sort the threads by the ratings.

I'm not talking about rating "Threads" I'm talking about the posts inside of the individual threads. Again, some of the threads contain pages and pages of posts and sometimes get off topic.... imagine that. haha. I'm looking for the best answers without reading every reply including the off-topic replies. Here is an example of another forum I came from. I can scan through the posts and find the most helpful answers fairly fast. This is helpful more when researching for something maybe months or years later. Anyway, thanks for considering this. Take care.

I want to "like" this, but I'm on a tablet so I don't get the full site with ratings...
