Notice was initially posted back in mid Nov and for the past week there has been a notice in the header.

On the website it has been clearly evident for awhile. Not so much on the phone app, so I can see where app users could miss it depending on how they read new postings.

Agreed but the green app didn't change so there shouldn't have been any confusion there or log in issues. So, unless someone was using the app for a month straight and then went to the web site in the last couple days it could be possible I guess.

Hope your not talking about pass words stored on a document on your computer. You ever get hacked you just gave them a lot of good info. Later RJD

Yep, I rarely use the website. Just happened to catch the posting on the app by luck when I was looking at areas I don't usually go into to. So then I had to go to the website just to check it out.....

Who looks at the header? I open a thread from my email, it opens to the last post of the thread. Unless I scroll up, I don't see the top of the page.

To answer your question, I do.

As has been said many times, everyone has their way of doing things.

For me, where I pop about 8 devices a day to email accounts, following an email link to a post would not be for me. Having this forum and the many others I visit, populate my email accounts with all that activity, would be too much. I like to keep my forum reading separate and do so by reading it right where it originates, on the forum, whether it be via the web site or the app.

Besides, if you never scroll up, you miss out on the other areas of the forum which I consider important. Areas that also unfortunately, lack in the app as well.

You didn't know "how anyone could have missed it."

Now you do.

Using the APP 7.1.10 on an iPad 2gen iOS 9.3.5
Started the APP got in as usual. Auto started with saved CREDS on the iPad. Logged out of the APP and used email address with existing password. Got a splash screen to try again later or notify admin.
Using current CREDS, logged in as usual. Got no prompts using the APP.
I very rarely us the web login. Should I log in to the web to initiate the change?

In fact, even when I open a thread I've never seen before, it takes me directly to the 1st post, but does NOT show the stuff above the 1st post.

So unless I were to consciously scroll up to see the top of the page, I won't see any notice they've posted.

So I think they have an issue they should deal with. Either email notices or make the program take you to the actual top of the page. Otherwise, I'm guessing MOST of us will miss it.

So you are advocating the same login (email) and password for several sites. This is not a good idea. In fact it's one of the things security experts will tell you not to do.

Since the new login, this forum has given my i-pad a virus. Now within 60 seconds of logging in to this forum with my i-pad, i get one of those “you may have won an amazon gift” pop up scams and redirected to this website: [hotlink removed]

This appears to be a fishing scam, and specifically linked to my use of this forum. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I agree, I haven't been able to log in. Log in screen still asks for user name. Very frustrating.

I came across this thread by accident while looking for a way to contact FRF without logging in. I never saw any notice about this change.

Yours probably does the same thing mine does, as discussed in Posts #27 and #34.

This is not a virus - but an ad scam that targets IOS users. Please clear your cache and cookies and do a restart - it should resolve itself.
