Lost my Draft reply
A power glitch dropped my browser for a moment. When things returned, I'd lost a draft reply I'd invested a lot of time in.
Is there a way to recover the draft?

I'm not one of the forum guru's, but my guess is no. If your computer shut down (rebooted), it's likely a goner. I've had that happen too many times. Sorry.

I’ve lost draft reply’s also. What I do now it writing a long response is write it in Word. I then copy and paste to the forum reply.

epic replies need to be done offline then cut and pasted to online answer...

I usually either compose long replies offline line mentioned above or I'll type a little and then hit Ctrl "A" to select all and Ctrl "C" to copy it and continue. That way anything less than a computer reboot won't lose the reply.
I'm on a couple of forums where the software auto-saves replies so that even if you get booted off you can go back and retrieve it. I'm sure that would take a software replacement here and that's probably not in the cards.

I always try to write my long replays in WORD, then paste them to the forum. You can save them on WORD, as you write.

If I put more than 5 minutes into any work, I save it., and save it every minute or so while in work.

I never know when it's going to evolve from a short quip to a book. But point taken about working offline in a savable file.

When I read the title for your post I flashed back to 1965. That's when I got my "Draft Notice" and my "Reply" was to report to the Seattle Induction Station
