messages exploded by google ads or non-relevant links

Is everyone else having this problem or is it something in my web page browser? Everyone's messages are being exploded by 20 lines of text with google-ads. And, sometimes links appear on keywords to pages unrelated to the member's topic, they too may be part of these ad links.

It seems like these are being added as a forum thread is opened. I noticed recently it takes quite a long time for a thread page to open.

Here's an example picture of what all my exploded messages look like, even ones from an administrator, that is now different...

Maybe I need to disable all my google browser add-ons. Sure makes message threads more difficult to scroll through.

Thanks Earth Station, that must be it. I don't always sign in to do quick checks of forum threads.

Many forums become a real mess if I don't sign in.

If you sign in, you get limited advertising; if you don't, "Katie Bar The Door."

I only get those google ads when I am not signed in, but for the last 3 weeks I get a pop-up at the bottom of my screen that says Internet Explorer blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors.

Dont know why I am now getting that message, never got it before

As I understand how Google Ads work, the ads are fed to your browser based on your browsing history (to provide ads that are targeted to your interests) AND higher premium ads by advertisers to have a higher probability of showing up when your page loads.

Some ad web sites are better run and have up to date certificates. Letting a certificate expire (it costs money to register your site) will cause that error when the ad loads or attempts to load depending on your browser's security setting.

Certificate errors can also appear if your browser's list of "up to date" certificates is old (cure is to update your browser) or the date is wrong on your system (either far in the past or in the future).

If you use adblocker plus you likely won't have this problem at all!!

Thanks all. I would skim threads without signing in, then sign in to reply. And, sometimes I didn't realize the forum signed me out for time lapse. I tested logged in/out, Earth Station was right on target.

I can see it's encouragemebt to log in. Worked for me...
