My Fat Fingers

Is there any way that the “Quick Links” drop-down could be rearranged so that the “Today’s Posts” button is separated from the “Mark Forums Read” button? Perhaps put the “Open Contacts Popup” button where the “Mark Forums Read” button is now?

So often when I click on the “Today’s Posts” button, my fat finger touches the “Mark Forums Read” button and it is not possible to undo this mistake.

It may seem like a very petty thing, and it may not be a problem for anybody other than me, but I sure would appreciate it if this could be done with no major work.

Thank you,

Bruce

You might try zooming your screen before you finger the today's posts.
I do most of my FRF reading with my PC and a mouse but occasionally I'm on a tablet and I have to zoom my screen somewhat before I hit that drop down menu.
Stay home, stay safe!!

I do much of my FRF stuff on an iPhone Xr. I have to zoom our list of Thread Tools to keep from deleting a thread instead of merely closing it.

Don't you use the app? I do that which allows me to look at the most recent and open individual topics without any issue.

On my laptop browser, I have a tab for new posts that has this URL:
https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...rchid=11822237

I just open a new window/or tab on that page and click the tab name that gets me to New Posts.

Does the green bar at the top of the page above the "post reply" button show on your phone" If so just click "New Post". I use my phone to make phone calls.

Mine has the main bar showing and if I wish to reply. I can do it two ways:. This one uses an green arrow shown in the individuals comments. If I click on it, I'm able to reply in general.

The second way is to similar but I tap the conversation itself which is then highlighted. I can then tap on the arrow and post a reply to that specific individual. That is what I did here.

The OP is not wishing to reply; he wants to see a list of the newest posts. It appears cavie's suggestion is the quickest and least likely to cause damage

While the "New Posts" button/link in the green bar and the "Today's Posts" in the drop down are very similar... they are not exactly the same.

I can see why someone would want to use the "Today's Posts" link as those read don't drop off the page as you go through them because they are still classified as "Today's posts." The "New Posts" list changes as the day goes on and as you read them.

My only suggestion is be more careful. I too have to enlarge the screen if I am using the full web site on a mobile device and accessing a drop down box. (not using the app)

The main FRF website is definitely not the most mobile friendly. That's why there is an FRF app. Much less frustrating on mobile devices.

X2... as it is with most apps -vs- web sites.

I rarely use the FRF web site on my phone as there just isn't enough real estate to be productive. The apps work way better. (both the green FRF app or Tapatalk)

But... there are simply some things you can't do on the app that you can with the web site.

I rarely fire up a tablet anymore to do that stuff as newer, lighter laptops (when mobile) or a desktop (when at home) are just as easy. Our six tablets are becoming extinct in our household. The exception is the one I use exclusively on my DJI Phantom drone.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I mainly use an iPad for browsing the web and that’s when I make the mistake of clicking the wrong buttons sometimes. If I am using my phone, I click on the “New Posts” button which is my favorite button.

I will try some of these ideas out.

Thanks,

Bruce
