New ads causing problems

The new ads are annoying. They constantly change size and are moving. That causes the content on the page to move around, meaning that, as I move to tap something, it changes location, and I end up tapping something completely different!

I am using Safari on an iPad and the problem manifests itself mainly on the main page while I am trying to select something from the list of recent discussions.

I have an iPad with the same version of iOS and do notice the ads changing size. Very annoying! Sometimes I go to click on a recent discussion subject just as the ad changes. I wind up clicking on the ad or a featured campground I care nothing about.

I'm not an Apple guy, but I use an Ad Blocker app and get no Ads! Maybe Apple has something similar?

Ad Blocker for iOS

Try using Malwarebytes free ad blocker:

I had not seen this before but it actually just happened to me on this thread and the next one I went to. Yes, it suddenly popped up and shuffled down the posts below it. Using iPhone iOS 13.4.1 with safari

Try using the forest river forum app instead of safari. Much nicer/cleaner on my iPhone

I used to use the app. Too many missing features.

Really, I was hoping the site team would read this thread and think that they had a problem that needed fixing.

The site team has already reported this to the tech team.

New ads causing problems

And just so the team is aware it is not just iPhone people having issues with these ads. I am on a lap top using Win7 Pro and chrome. This just started happening about 2 weeks ago. I wondered if the forum team made some kind of change, added or deleted a kernel. Not sure what was changed but it is very annoying and hope it will get changed back or fixed.

Just a side note that Windows 7 Pro is no longer supported or updated as of Jan 2020.

And Mr Towed needs to update his iOS. He doesn’t know what he’s missing out on wit the latest version.

Thanks for the reply, I am very well aware of that but that is what I have and will continue to use as long as I can. There are still several million computers in use that are using Win 7. It's just the way life is. I know of several businesses that are still using Win XP for things that they can. life goes on.

I thought I had relatively new version. What’s new that I’m missing?

You’ve missed three updates since iOS 13.4.1. There‘s quite a few things that have been fixed and added that may interest you, or not. Here is a link to all of the different iOS 13 updates and what they included:

Thanks for your input here - we're looking into this - in the meantime please make sure that your device is updated with the latest version of iOS and that you are logged into the forum (fewer ads).

Yeah, and on THAT NOTE, it would be pretty cool if, like every other forum I’ve ever heard of, I could STAY logged in without having to continuously log back in over and over.
