You should be staying logged in if you click remember me and allow cookie exchange with the site. We use a cookie to keep you logged in at page changes. If your system is purging them you would be getting logged out at page changes and yes, I agree it would be annoying.

Not for me.
However, I have been wondering if that is because I use multiple devices to access the forum .

It could be your cookie management then. I use 2 devices including the full site and 2 apps on one of them.

I stay logged in over two PCs (one desktop, one laptop) and 4 mobile devices (Android) and never have to log in. It's all how YOU manage it.

I have accepted all cookies on all devices for these forums.
I also get the annoying sign up for email message even though I am signed up and logged in.

You may have accepted them but is your browser/device set to clear cookies/history on exit?

Good guess but no.
I usually clear things manually once or twice a month.

OK so other than not clearing cookies what else should I be doing or not doing ?
1 desk top
1 laptop
2 iPhones
2 iPads
1 Samsung tablet
I should pay attention to whether I get the pop up from some or all of the above.

OK, I SWEAR I’ve done this before, but now it’s working. So, I feel like an idiot.

Please don’t interpret this as anything other than a request for help:
The problem still exists. It has gotten worse. I don’t dare tap on a link for about 10 seconds after a page loads, waiting for it to settle down. It jumps up and down as the ads load. If I tap too soon, and the page jumps, I end up tapping on a link I didn’t intend to tap.
Perhaps a fixed amount of space can be set aside in which the ads above the page content will load. Then, while the ads load, the content will remain in the same place.
Thank you.

I haven't been on the full website for quite awhile. But I must agree with you, the popup panels on the right side are a little slow to load and would cause the page to jump around on a smaller screen until they are done. And I am on a fully updated, fast laptop, with a fast connection.
It would be very aggravating on a much smaller mobile device.
Which is why most of us use the apps on small screen devices . I know you don't enjoy the apps, but it is a solution. I can accomplish most everything on the green or orange app that I can on the full website, except some administrative stuff, which I just go to the full website for.
