New PITA

Has anyone else recently been forced to change their log in ID to an email address instead of the ID that you have been using for years?

Would be very nice if changes like this were announced rather than just being rammed down our throat without warning.

Nothing new about it as it was implemented over two years ago and is a sticky located at the very top of this admin subforum.

It is now, but until today that was not a true statement.

My user ID was my log in ID as well...............Kept track of by my browser so I had no need to continually look it up.

Imagine my surprise and consternation to discover that without any notification whatsoever I was required to re-do my log in and password. That was followed up by re-entering the information in a Password Keeper app so I can get back in if all else fails.

Read my statement Dan, I NEVER said it was hard, I did say it was a PITA!

It seems as if the change requiring an email address for a log in ID may have coincided with FRF becoming affiliated with the RV Life system.

Im not sure about that but I NEVER got a notification that I was part of that RV Life system until I attempted to log in today.

Did you recently have an update to your browser or your computer?

As mentioned above, this change was made for EVERYONE 2 years ago. I can't imagine that your browser saved your login information with your regular username for your login ID. It simply wouldn't have worked.

You must have changed it at some point.

I did have an update for my computer but the Password Keeper program is on my phone and it is my backup information. It too had the same username/password info that the browser had before today.

Well, it's good to go now and you have been brought forward a few years. Lol

Just to bring you up to date, RV's are selling as fast as they can build them and people are still discussing the merits of nitrogen in tires. Now you are completely caught up.
