New post

If I select a new post I’m taken to the beginning of the postings. That may be days ago. Can I set a default to go to the latest post? Then I can go back as I want to.

Where and how are you selecting "a new post"? What method are you using to access the forum? (Full site on a browser [which browser?]?; green FRF app on a smart device?; orange Tapatalk app on a smart device?)

If you select a thread under Recent Discussions, the software should take you to the 1st post in that thread that you haven't read.

Are you browsing the site using the full website or one of the apps?

Typically the software will take you to your last un-read post. Or at least the last post that was available the last time you opened the thread.

So for example if you read a thread that has 10 posts in it, then come back a few days later and another 100 posts have been added, it will take you to the 11th post.

That's assuming you are clicking on the little symbol next to the thread title. If you click on the thread title itself, it will take you to the first post in the thread no matter what.

AFAIK, there is no mechanic to take you to the last post in the thread.

This is the important part to get to the first unread post. (using the website)
