How about one for Isata 5 owners. Dynamax has a sub forum but they have so many models on so many different chassis I'd love to see one specific to Isata 5

I vote for R-Pods along with the separate TT, 5er. I don't know enough to recognize a lead in by name or model number to know if it involves a MH or other. I'm new to this great forum and learning, but old enough to have limited room for excess knowledge. Thanks for asking. :-)

If they want to post their question in a sub-forum specific to their RV, that's fine as well.
They are likely to get similair responses either way. Some of it will be useful, some won't.
We the site team do our best to keep new threads in whatever sub-forum is the best fit and if we see one that's obviously out of place, we can move it.

I totally understand what your trying to do but, there are some, such as myself, that have a TT from a different manufacturer, and unless we had a FR trailer previous or look up specific models, it would be a pain to post. Unless you keep the general forum open, I hope you do.

AFAIK, there are no plans to close any of the current sub-forums.
So SOB owners such as yourself are free to continue posting in them.

As you will see this is my first post and I would love to see a Sub-forum for TT especially Flagstaff or Rockwood (same family). I have learned much from reading the topics but unless it is a TT, most especially bumper pulls, 5'vers and MH's are of no interest, at this point in my ownership of TT.

There are always General/Umbrella forum entries. You may post in General Travel Trailer & Fifth Wheel Discussion - Forest River Forums, for instance. Also, you can set a browser tab to "http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew" to get all unread posts in a single list.

sub forum for Palomino
I am a new owner of a Palomino Poalomini. I'd like to think I don't see many treads for this unit because it has few problems but that has certainly not been my experience. A sub-forum would be helpful.

Site Team Note:
Friends, the purpose of this thread is not for everyone to list his/her current unit. The purpose is to collect suggestions for specific sub-forums we don't currently have.
What site sub-forums do you think we need?

We actually have both of those already:
Flagstaff - Forest River Forums
Rockwood - Forest River Forums

My concern is that too many model-specific sub-forums will detract from the general learning experience for most of us.
My experience is that my 2006 Salem 32 SRV LE 5th Wheel Toy Hauler does not have many model-specific issues. It's just a big old low tech old model with the general issues like tires, electrical, plumbing, leaking, awning, propane, furnace, AC, tow vehicle, etc, etc that every other old low tech 5er and most TTs have. So my selfish perspective is: I like to see everything in a big old general section that all us old low-tech guys can scan to see what looks interesting to learn from and/or try to be helpful by sharing our experience. Sometimes we want to learn about other model-specific issues, sometimes we don't. If it's all in a general forum, we can pick and choose what we want to see.
I do see the value of model specific sub-forums, but ONLY for model-specific issues (eg: "Does the engine charge the house batteries in my specific MH model?" or "Where are the thingamajigs that communicate with the automatic gee-whiz buzzer and light system controllers in my Biarritz KR15 LXTZE4+ Model MH and how do I calibrate them to get the best tone and timbre?")
The perfect sub-forum system would ensure that only truly model specific issues are pulled out of the general discussion for issues that are common to many models. I am not sure how to do that, but I genuinely appreciate the hard work that the site team members are doing to help us all.
I do have one suggestion for Thread Originators: PLEASE title your thread in a way that actually conveys information about the nature of the issue. Many thread titles simply don't tell us much about the issue, causing many of us to waste time going to the thread to see what it is.
Thanks to all for listening to my perspective.
