Security alert?

Just got notice on my iPhone that forest River forum password appears on some sort of stolen password board

I'm not sure why you would get such an alert -I'm betting that it was an ad (there are some really sleazy ones out there that phish for info) or possibly you have an extension on your browser that sets these alerts when you have an overly simple password or use it at more than one site.

if you are unsure - you might try setting a new one.

If not it's probably a scam to get your password!

no, it did not, it was a drop down type notice on my iphone mentioning a security notice - never had seen that kind of notice before - I am running the latest IOS beta - perhaps they soemhow tie it keychain monitoring with security alerts?

either way - I changed the password for this site and think it wise for others to do the same - just to be safe

I know that Chrome has a built-in feature that does the same thing. If you store your passwords on your device it checks them against a large database of passwords that have been exposed from large data hacks against big companies. I know Yahoo had one a few years back.

It also checks to see if you use the same password on more than one site.
