Signature lines limitation too small
Moderators/owners--
Tried to change the little states visited map in my signature
today and got the error, my sig is too long, 6 line limit.
I understand the need to limit signatures that are excessive
but I'm kinda proud of mine.
It's worked for me for many years.
Please consider upping the signature line limit to a larger
number.....pretty please.....

I ran into the same thing Dan. I only tried to modify the 'Number of days camped' on mine, didn't add another line and it was working fine but it gave me the same error. I too liked my signature line but had to drop some of it to get it to work.
I wished they would re-evaluate this. Maybe up the limit to 8 lines? I don't see anyone going crazy with their signatures around here anyway.

I agree, I could squeeze mine down to 8.
It actually accepted my new little states map but gave the
error about lines.
I would add a line about nights camped this year but not until
we get some feedback on the sig lines limitation.

Yes - we are taking a look at this and some various options.
In the meantime you might try reformatting maybe something like this...

Janet,
I just now sent you a message on this, not knowing you had already replied. So, disregard it.

Thank you both!!
Janet, thanks for considering this issue.
Note on my computer both suggestions you sent me are
still more than 6 lines.
(Mike, your signature is longer than mine!! Hah!)

I don't want to hijack your thread, but can you point me to how you add the map in the first place? I've been trying for a couple of days and can't figure it out... :-(

First go here to make the map.
I recommend the medium size jpg.
I used the small one and it's too small.....

Once you've got your map, down load it to your desktop.
At the top of any Forums page including this one
click UserCP at the top of the page.
When that page loads click "edit signature" on the left hand side
of the page.
When that page loads look near the bottom and see
Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer
browse to your map photo and click upload.
Good Luck!

Well I think I got mine changed. It had to shrink a lot from what it was and had to loose a smilie. But I finally got my dates updated.
