Site Team note: Post moved to it's own thread
This is the way sites are ruined. People start posting things that have nothing to do with what the site is originally set up to focus on. What this question has to do with this forum is beyond me. If this is the way this forum is going I’ll say goodbye and drop out.
I’ll give it a few more weeks and then try to find another RV forum.

We have and have had an "off-topic" subsection for non RV related discussions since 2007. It is a very popular subsection for the forums and is where members can post non rv related discussions. We also have a joke subsection too. These subtopic titles are shown below with their descriptions. This is nothing new and have been here for many many years.

I guess everyone likes something different and has their opinion about everything.
I can say overall this site is the best RV site that I have come across. While I don't always agree with everything or everyone it is well organized and run.
People and the mods come and go but the topics are fine. As with everything do not take it too seriously.

I think the OP will be disappointed when he finds out other RV forums also have off-topic sections for humor and other things non-RV related. A whopping 19 posts in 9 years? Methinks he doth protest too much.

Before I cast any stones, I'd like to know the thread the OP was referring to.
If it was within something R/V-technical related, they have a right to complain.
In EVERY case I've seen where a complaint was generated it was handled quickly and efficiently, a nod to the mods and those who run the site.
If it was in a off-topic sub-section, then the gloves come off.
With that said, this site is by far the most comprehensive R/V and technical related site I visit. It is always informative and has a huge rate of getting valid answers to a question. Not always but mostly.
I also like there are off-topic things that I can visit while here, breaking up an otherwise mostly serious visit.
Just my 2¢... YMMV.

Great helpful site
This site is the most informative site I’ve visited for RV info. I’m mostly a reader of the site. But I visit it for assistance, spotting an interesting thread title and reading it for general learning. Sometimes the subject is not an immediate need but something in the thread gets plugged into a memory cell and sometime down the road whatever it was gets put to use!
