As I read the forum some threads I click on first appear like a word document and when I click to the side off the document I get the normal thread display. I have looked at the User CP and FAQ without finding a way to stop this (the document display). Is there a solution?

It might be important for your problem description to state what browser or app you’re using to view the forum. If you access the forum with a different method, do you still have the issue?

using a macbook pro computer (only thing I use for the forum)
You might try a different browser, like Firefox, Duckduckgo, etc. Using Firefox or Duckduckgo on iOS devices, I have not witnessed the problem you described. However, I do not have a macbook.

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of any page of the web version of FRF.
What do you see in the very bottom left hand corner drop down box?

Also, lets check your User control panel. When you go to your user CP (in the menu bar at top of forum page)...then under "Setting & Options" click the "edit options"
Now look in the middle of the screen and scroll down till you see "thread display options".
What does the "thread display mode" dropdown box have in it?

I have been using FireFox this morning and have not experienced any of the display problems I had with Safari I did check and the setting is Forest River v2.0. It seems Safari on my laptop does not play with some sites thanks for the help all offered.
