Yes I use my I phone app and follow the forum. Once a week I shut the phone off when I do and try to get back on the forum or if I have something interesting and follow it extensively my forum screen goes blank. I must then delete the icon and reinstall. Works well until I shut phone off again.
Try using the back button all the way out when you leave the forum. My droid gets all wonkey if I try to just go straight to home. When I try to get back on I get a blank screen.
Not that it helps, but I can confirm you don't need to re install the app on all iPhones. Mines has never had a problem with it and I exit from the app without backing out all the time.
Based on what you're experiencing I'd say it looks like the settings for the app are being overwritten, but I can't think of why that might be. Do you use wifi to sync? I ran into problems with that losing some of my data and turned off that feature. I now only sync via USB.
