LOL!
Like I said earlier,We would never go more than a couple miles on a normal bike, missing out on many great views. But now with the help from the e-bike when needed we go 20 plus more miles and have a great time .

I agree. An eBike has pedals just like a regular bike and you can ride it all you want without assist.
I'm far from physically fit but we've found it has e-xt-e-n-d-e-d our time riding/activity with the help of assist when needed where we might have otherwise stopped short.

Currently, we have recumbent tadpole trikes, but no e-assist on them yet. We love the trikes, as they're comfortable to sit in, and it doesn't matter how slow we go, we're not going to fall over.
Biggest drawback to them, is that they're a bit more difficult to pack along.
By the way, Catrike is now offering trikes with factory installed e-assist. Catrikes are made here in the U.S.A., and are awesome rides. Not cheap, but awesome (I bought mine used, so saved on it that way).
Here's mine: Catrike Villager.

While on the subject of e-bikes .
I have read through most of these post. Nobody has said a word about E trikes
The wife and I would like to get e Tricycles that fold up some. We know next to nothing about e-bikes and such. Just started reading about them a week ago. Different watts and amp hours and voltages. We don't need anything with high speeds nor extremely long range. 20 miles will do us and most the time will be peddling anyway. I have seen a few lower cost ones on Amazon and even seen kits to change a a front wheel to an electric wheel for bikes and trikes. I know this is not a good question to ask , but what are some recommendations as to lighter weight e- trikes. We really don't want to spend more than 2 grand at most for both trikes.

My wife and I have recumbent trikes. Catrike currently has their eCat option, which incorporates a Bosch electric assist system to their excellent trikes. Their Dumont model folds for easier transport and storage. I have the Catrike Villager (without e-assist) and love it. It's quite comfortable and enjoyable to ride. For decent trikes at a low price, you're likely going to need to look for used.

Utah Trikes in Payson, Utah, specializes in trikes and does electric conversions on most models. While Utah isn't exactly right around the corner from you, in the recumbent groups I'm in, Utah Trikes is well known and generally acknowledged as one of the best shops for such conversions.

A bit cheaper than the Catrikes are Terratrikes. My wife has the Terratrike Rambler, and it's fairly comparable to the Catrike Villager. Terratrike also offers the Bosch e-assist system.

Here's our trikes on a break on the Big Rock Candy Mountain path, along the Sevier River in Utah.

My ebike can go 32 mph. That's scary on a bike. Would be terrifying on a scooter.

We bought a couple of Jetson Pros from Costco for $329. They go 15mph, have cruise control and a 15 mile range. Running it on the beach, I think we got more like an 6 mile range with the wind and sand causing more battery usage. They are fun and easy to store.

We love our Rad ebikes. I have a Rad Rover, my wife has a folding Rad mini. When we travel with just our truck, I have mine on a rear rack, and hers is behind our seats in the extended cab.
We just bought a Rockwood Mini Lite, and am wondering how to haul the bikes. I keep reading that the TT bumper isn't strong enough to handle an ebike and rack. So what are some alternatives?

Ride Rad
My wife and I bought 2 radmini stepthroughs foldable, we travel a lot with Wifes cousin and wife, they also bought mini step throughs we all love them, the service dept is outstanding.
with only pas 2 to 3 throttle up hills 12-13 mph we went 20 mile used only 2 of 5 bars on battery. using pas 3 18mph 30 miles and battery was flashing empty.
The best part about ebikes is the help going up hills.
message me for a $100 discount code. Then once you buy one you can pass your own code on to your friends
