Golf cart and trailer? Worth the investment?
I'm looking to buy a golf cart and trailer to pull behind my TT. My question is is it worth the money? Can I bring it to get around campgrounds or are they prohibited? We are planning on a trip to Florida this fall and plan on staying at Fort Wilderness. I know they allow them but what about the majority of other campgrounds?

Its very common in Louisiana. I have several friends that pull doubles with either golf carts on trailers or boats.

Well renting at the Fort is now up to $65 bucks a day, so weight that cost in your decision.

Many of the true RV parks and state lakes in my area allow them. I can't think of any in my area of nebraska actually that don't allow them.
Only real issue you may have is that's a fair amount of weight behind a travel trailer... I pull a jet ski behind mine but it doesn't weigh much... just a thought... not saying it can't be done!

I love my cart. Great to have in the Northeast for taking the kids to the pool or lake and for grabbing ice and such from the store. I put my cart in the back of the pickup.

As stated in an earlier post it is illegal to pull doubles in Florida, and dont believe those who tell you different and that you can get away with it. It is getting more and more attention and the leo's are getting less tolerant of those that attempt to do it.
As far as having a golf cart , I love having mine with me, gets me out alot more than I do if I don't have it, they are great conversation starters with some modifications, ie. lift kits etc.
Fortunately I have a toy hauler so I do not face the issue of taking it with me that those with regular trailers do. It was one of the reasons we went toy hauler,it was that important.

I just avoid the states with that law!! 
My state and surrounding states all allow it. Gotta get the ATV's there somehow!

Sorry, that's not how reciprocity works. Otherwise those Montana and North Dakota boys could drive 85 everywhere.

Not for this (as far as I'm aware). When it comes to the license type required to haul your camper, the reciprocity works. But, double (aka "triple") towing isn't included.
(Again, as far as I'm aware. I don't do it nor have I ever wanted to. This is all from reading and my interpretation.)
But, I do think the example of speed limits posted above is a good analogy.

Reciprocity means that your driver's license is valid in other states. Or your window tinting. Or that if you have a suspended license, reciprocating states will honor the suspension.
But each state still gets to control activities within its borders - speed limits, towing, weight limits, etc.

OP...look into this heavy duty bed cover, could be the answer since you tow a TT, just got to watch out for your payload on truck
