One of my 2020 campsites is right in front of the two bushes in the center of this picture. I camp on the "beach" that forms after the farmers downstream draw more water out of the lake. Looks like the site will be ready starting in August

By September the "beach" is over 3 square miles and the view is hard to beat.

Did I mention that the price is "free" and you can stay 14 days (although nobody checks).

Baxter Bridge State Forest Campground in Kingsley, MI...
It was nearly too hot and mosquitos were horrible.
Good to finally get out with some friends though.

Getting a slow start this year along Illinois’ Mississippi River.
Just means I’ll be gone much of the rest of summer!

Yes! Who says you can’t find great places in Illinois?
We’ll come here 1-2 times a year.

Our first trip was 2 weeks ago to old favorite Coles Creek SP on the St. Lawrence. First couple days water was too choppy for the kayaks and then calmed down. First time using the new flag pole (solar lit from underneath). Sites are wide, social distancing not an issue.
Apologies for the one sideways pic.

Our first dry camp spot. We’ll end up all over this lake but this was the first spot for us in the new unit.

Ummmmm, is this just day tripping or is this actually an overnight spot? I've never seen anything like that before??

Nice sunset though.

At Evergreen Campsites and resort in Wild Rose WI for the 4th. Great large site. Lots of activities going on and the beach was great a little packed at times but we floated in the lake and kept our distance. Will come back again.

The view right now through the trailer door.

Beckler River Campground near Skykomish, WA.

So peaceful I started to read a book yesterday afternoon and fell asleep at least three times.Click image for larger version
