We are home RJ.

It was really great meeting you and the other F.R.O.G.S.
That aspect is one of the things I so enjoy about camping.

I'd love to get to your rally but I'm just not sure at this time how our music playing schedule will pan out for later this year so I'm just not able to make a commitment to be there. If nothing else we will see you at Christmas!

We get there May 26, so I guess we will miss you. Have a great time there. Consider doing lunch at Morrisette winey which is several miles north on the Parkway. Great food and with nice weather sit outside and enjoy the view of the mountains. And perhaps a tour of the winery. It is a beautiful building.

If you like walking/hiking check out the New River Trail State Park.

New River Trail State Park is a 57.7-mile rail trail and state park located entirely in southwest Virginia, extending from the trail's northeastern terminus in Pulaski to its southern terminus in Galax, with a 5.5-mile spur from Fries Junction on the main trail to Fries.

We did this one while we were there last weekend: New River Trail: Gambetta to Fries Junction is a 4.9 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Fries, Virginia that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Mountain Stream is one of the prettiest RV parks anywhere. We have spent many nights there. We love the sites with a deck over the river.

We will be at Mayberry RV park this coming Monday through Thursday.

Cheat Lake WV. Stopped at Chestnut Ridge campground. Small but in 1600 acres of state Forest. Fabulous site. But we are staying just one night on our way to Cherry Hill RV park near Washington DC.

Aceinspp right, but our forum doesn't work as well as Facebook. Same pic but always sideways on here.

We have tried 2 times for Mayberry RV, nothing for a 39’ travel trailer, even a month out. We have stayed there before and we do enjoy the spots around the big lake

They have added several new sites above one of the lakes. No cable on those sites but the map makes it look as if they can handle longer rigs.

If your using cell phone pics to post you have to orientate the phone a certain way to get them to post correctly on this site. I usually down load pics from camera to desk top then redo the pics to post correctly. Later RJD

I think Mayberry needs more than 3-4 weeks out for planing a trip. I am finding more and more campgrounds to get a reservation is 6-8 weeks in advance, at least here in NC & SC

We moved from Kendall COE, KY to Axtel COE, KY. Really nice park. Not crowded right now, but I'll bet it's full for the weekend.

Our SOB is happy at Mayberry CG in Mount Airy, NC. There were 2 FROG rallies here a couple of years ago. It is nice this time of the year but it can cook in the summertime. Lots if grass, very nice staff and fairly roomy, level sites.
