Indiana to start

First trip this year to make sure everything still works. It did. Hooray! Monroe Lake, Paynetown rec area in Indiana. Very nice state park. Great hiking trails, local wineries, close to IU and shopping in Nashville.

Lots of trees, but it limits large RV access. We were lucky to have one of the larger sites, but our friends were next door and it was a tight fit for their class C.Click image for larger version

River Walk RV Park near Elkin, NC. Fairly new park. Clean, neat, great staff, and nice level sites with FUH’s.

Maiden voyage in our new SOB Jayco. Everything seems to work as advertised, especially the heat, as it was 34 last night and maybe again tonight. Wet when we arrived yesterday but sunny and warm today and very little chance of rain for the next few days. We’ll be here until Thursday.

Got the flag installed. More to go. Very happy to be out.

Another great music weekend - this time with blues. Our usual site out in Brooksville, FL at the Sertoma Youth Ranch with our usual pod of people. Able to throw on the mask to go get pics up by the stage while the music is loud enough to enjoy back at the site. Most people really pretty considerate of the current situation out here but there will always be a few (& they are not invited to our pod!).
Enjoyed great music on stage & at the campsites while celebrating a 70th & a 55th birthday (had to taste over 70 + 55 different beers.... mission accomplished). Bloody Mary breakfasts with biscuits & gravy competition in the mix too... I love our camping group!

Took the camper over to Thousand Trails Orlando so the kids could spend the night in it and then for friends to use it for a week.

It wouldn’t have been my first choice for a spot but it’s literally back to back with friends.

It really is an amazing story of how a lighthouse ended up in WV.
Read the story. Very interesting.

I now have another RV destination.
