Ours has been set up as a “Home Base” for hunting season since the end of August. I had to winterize 2 weekends ago so right now we are roughing it but it’s really just serving as a place to sleep and get changed. We have a main clubhouse with a kitchen and bathrooms.

Good thing you are not hunting south of Buffalo!
BTW: We're from Watertown, but in Charleston, SC area now. Enjoy the snow!

Luckily my plans had me leaving for camp Thursday night. If I would have waited until Friday/Saturday I might not have made it at all. It worked out well for us.

I did return home to 3'-6" of snow but at least it was not the 6'-9" of snow that the hardest hit area got. Took me over 3 hours to snow blow the driveway. It normally only takes 30-40 min tops.

You should see a red Volvo and a River Stone there right around Christmas Eve or so, they are FROG friends on the way to meet us in Florida for the winter

No RJ, we are staying in Ocala this year.

Just too many issues there for a 3 month stay. We found it to be OK for a few days but long term they simply allow too many abnormal things to happen without care for fixing. Heck last year the cable went out a few days before the Super Bowl in January and when we left in March they still hadn't got it repaired. The internet didn't work most of the time and a host of other things like making long term folks (3 months) move sites because someone wanted that site for a week.

The folks were nice and it could have been an ideal place but it just never happened in the 3 years we went there.

I’m very interested to hear what you think of Edisto State Park. It’s only about an hour and a half from us. I hope you’re enjoying our fair state!

We come here every year since we started our retirement camping. We have Grandkids in the area, Mt Pleasant.
Edisto is great, but you want the beach campground, not the forest campground. This will be our 7th year at Edisto. We do two weeks. There is about a mile of beach, some years the shell hunting is great! At the end of the beach heading north there is a tidal creek. When the tide is low/slack the Seatrout fishing is really good. I'll post some pics next week while we are there.

Oh heck. I misread the campground. We’ve been to Edisto State Park and absolutely agree on the beach campground. We had one of the primoest sites available. I have no idea how we were able to get it but we did. Y’all have fun!Click image for larger version

Mistletoe State Park, GA

Spent Thanksgiving week with some good friends at Mistletoe State Park, GA. It's on Clarks Hill Lake off of the Savannah River. Our first trip for 2023 is in March at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Service campground near Coffeeville, AL. We stayed in site #4 and it was a pull through on the river. This is a small Coe park of about 32 sites located on the Tombigbee River. Water and electric only. What an awesome and beautiful place to spend Thanksgiving. We just relaxed and watched the barges go by.

Spent a few nights at the Joshua Tree National Park in the Black Rock campground. A little cool with the night time temps in the mid 30's. Fun time and great views will be back for sure
