One more camping music festival enjoyed with Blues Bash at the Ranch in Brooksville, FL. On our usual double site complete with our own bourbon bar by night, beer tasting crew, bloody mary bar for breakfast and talented musicians.

Picture of the harmonica workshop (there was also guitar workshop & camper jam to start the other days), Brandon Santini, Eddie Turner, Slim & the Perkolators & the Paul Nelson band on stage & after hours stayed until 3 am at one of the sites - Paul is of the Winters Brothers legacy(late 70s on) & was working on some solo stuff he has coming.
One more spring festival out there for us soon!

When photos display sideways you can edit them in a photo program like “Paint” & then edit your post if need be. You can always edit the photo before posting which can help.

The Backyard RV Resort near Montgomery Al. an ok place for sightseeing but resort wise not what I would call a resort. Nice long pull thru spots so that work well for us.

Oh it was a blast. Kelli, (the K in K_M_H) is most definitely not a boondocking camper, so it was the perfect balance between remote and being home. Our 2 year old daughter LOVED the playground there. --More than once we had to tell her that the playground was sleeping-- The older kids that came with us went fishing down at the pond and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. It was just a little on the cold side.

Sounds great glad you enjoyed it, if ever there again between Mother's Day and say mid-October there is a great little ice-cream stand about a 10 minute drive called Somerset Farms, friends of mine own it and it is really good ice-cream and the cows are right next door in the pasture makes for a nice after dinner treat, open usually Thursday - Sunday 3-9

Wendy Oaks near Florence Ms. cute little park just off the highway so a bit noisy with road noise, nice lake with free use of boats plus a very friendly woman running the place and very well I might add.

OK, so it's not a campground.

First night out in 2022 as we headed up north for a week at Santa Cruz Ranch, which is actually located in Scotts Valley, CA. Not sure why they called it Santa Cruz Ranch. Perhaps there is already a Scotts Valley Ranch, located in Santa Cruz?

Anyway, this was the rest area that was posted as good for up to 8 hours. Only one truck, one other happy camper and a beautiful new day emerging.

So last music festival of the spring season for us found us in the midst of fantastic music on our tiny little site (only used for a couple hours of sleep each night!). Sertoma Youth Ranch site 410 in Brooksville Fl for the StringBreak festival.
Three days of great music on 2 stages & around the bonfires until the very early hours (despite temps in the low 40s by night) included The Cadillac Cowboys, Robbin the Bank, Mitch & the Lagerheads, Brown Bag Brass Band, the international HenHouse Prowlers & the gentleman that has written literally EVERY famous guitar lick for the last 60 years - from Elvis to Chuck Berry to Hendrix to Stones to Iggy Pop - the one & only Bill Kirchen - hanging out signing autographs at midnight after a 90 minute set.... Hope I can have that energy at 80 yrs of age!
I could literally do this monthly for the rest of my life... LOVE live music ....
