Wow! We were at Rustic Barn a week ago. Love it there. Jones Station in Mebane? Very near where we live. I have stored an RV there and spent a few night there. A very friendly place.

It’s a nice place! Not sure where Rustic Barn is but we are from Wisconsin, kind of ironic! LOL

Just hope we don’t run into any of them snakes they warn everyone about! They have some crazy spiders here, we have 3 of them about 10 feet from the trailer.

We are from the opposite side of the state along Lake Michigan.

We also stayed at Village Inn on the Lake in Two Rivers, which is right on Lake Michigan. No interest in going back there.

We are South of that, in Kenosha. No place you want to camp there.

That's a golden silk-orb weaver spider, also known as a banana spider.

I wouldn't be concerned about it being poisonous unless you're planning on eating one. However, if you're worried about whether it's venomous or not , they're not harmful to humans if bitten.

Very nice! Is that a campground, or a boondocking spot?

We see a lot of them this time of year. They’re harmless to humans but not so much to insects. I leave the webs intact as long as they’re not in my way.
And they’re not actually our state bird. The mosquito is.

As much as I hate spiders, I hate the flying insects they prey upon even more, so I let spiders do their thing outside. As soon as they cross the threshold into my home, however, none leave alive.

You might find a fishin' hole a few miles north at George L Smith State Park. That's where we host. Nice park, 22 sites, almost all on a cypress lake.
Thanks for your post!
