It's 2022 Let's See Your Campsites!
This thread was started by DreiHunde back in 2015. I'm not sure why they did not start the thread in 2020 or 2021, but I did PM them. I've not received a response. Cath and I have participated in this thread since 2019 and have enjoyed it. If DreiHunde is still around please forgive me for starting this again this year, I did not mean to "steal your thunder".
Here's our current campsite at George L. Smith State Park, GA. We are hosts here until 1 Apr 22. Hope to see you at the park.
Happy New Year to All!
Mods...can we "sticky" it again?

If in the CA Palm Springs area and can’t find a place to camp try Lake Cahuilla in La Quinta. This is run by Riverside County Parks Dept. very well maintained, flat and wide RV sites most all have water and electric, few with sewer but there is a sewer dump station. $45 a night but booking 7 nights gets discounted to $184 total. Great views and hiking trails and fishing in the lake. I can’t believe how peaceful this place is.
Riverside CO wants to close this in March if reservations do not increase. This place is spotless and very well maintained. Come to check it out. I’ll try to upload a picture.

Nothing fancy. But at least we rang in the new year camping.
Full disclosure, I was asleep when the ball dropped.

Hopefully you are enjoying the peacefulness right now, because it looks pretty desolate there. Give it another month or so, you might be wishing for winter to stick around longer because that place will be packed!!!

Anastasia State Park, St Augustine FL
Sent 2021 off with a (beach bash) bang spending Christmas thru New Years on site 107 in Anastasia State Park, St Augustine FL.
We managed to relax at the campsite, catch a few sunrises, drink really good Christmas beers while touring for the Night of Pints fundraiser, bicycled to 2 different farmers markets, walked thru Old town, kayaked out to the light house thru salt run, took a Night of Lights boat tour, toured the distillery followed by a great meal at the Ice Plant and even completed a January 1 triathlon of sorts: hiking (walking the dog); biking (all over the park) & actually managed to go swimming in the Atlantic as it was 80 degrees and sunny.
Our favorite time was NYE when DH grills prime rib followed by drinks on the beach for a fantastic fireworks show - and we only had to ride our bikes back to the campsite after. Hope everyone gets to have more camping fun this 2022

It's already packed on the weekends, but we enjoy being busy, watching and helping the other campers.
