Seems everybody had a "U" shaped rear kitchen with a big side window floor plan back then. First started seeing them about 2006. Before long everybody had at least one in 5vers and TT lines.

We never run out of storage. We have one cabinet that has never had anything in it!

And those putting up pics, thanks, as that's the point of this thread.

almost 10 yrs

We've had our 2009 MicroLite since it was new, and it's still going strong. It's been to Florida; Goshen, Indiana; Amish Country in PA; and New Orleans, plus many places in between. We'll be taking it up to Maryland/DC in a few weeks. We also have a 29 foot Keystone, but the Flagstaff is my baby. Besides, it gets us into FROG rallies.

We had our SOB 5th wheel for 15 years before trading to our 2007 Georgetown. Still have the Georgetown 11 years later and still going strong.

Only 8 years for us. I can't even believe that! I have been through 3 trucks though. The first one was the F-250 5.4L I pulled my TT with for 5 years. But I wanted to pull the new 5th wheel without worrying about anything, so I got a 2008 6.4L F-250. It was an awesome crew cab long bed Lariat, but the 6.4L had some issues and after the last one, I got a little paranoid about the engine. So I traded it on my current truck I've had now for 7 years, a 2011 6.7L F-250. Below is the day I brought it home, then one with the 6.4L, then about a year ago coming home from a trip to the Austin area. I need to get out again...been sitting too long. But I have to get through the new dog's treatment first.

We had our first trailer (a Nomad) for 13 years, and traded it for a Newmar TT which we had for 23 seasons. Our first truck pulled both trailers until it gave out in 1997 (during a trip - it was a 1973) and we bought a new one on the spot. Just got it back from the dealer today in A-1 shape as it heads into it's 21st year of towing both the Newmar and our Windjammer now in it's 6th year. Expect to keep them both many more years. We do store them both indoors and they both look brand new. People keep boats a long time, why not RV's? You just have to take care of them and keep all the "little things" fixed so they don't turn into big things, and fix the big things when they wear out.

We had a2000 Fleetwood Mallard for 8 years no slides, thing was a beast great trailer. That’s back in the day when they made them good. Only reason we traded was we needed a toy hauler.

We purchased a 2005 Wildcat 31QBH in 2004. TV was a 2001 F 250 7.3. Traded the Ford for a 2014 2500 Duramax 1/14. Traded the 31QBH for a 32WB 9/17. Kids grown and DW wanted more room.

My parents kept their sunline for every bit of 20 years. It had been totaled by the insurance company and everything (sideswiped by a sleeping driver). Had to have had a couple hundred thousand miles on it. Lived in for 2 months on BLM land every winter. Had been to hell and back.....at least twice. Sold it this year for like $1700.

Purchased an 04 Silverado Diesel and 04 Cedar Creek 34' 5th wheel, in October 06 and have been full timers since that time. No real casualties and only one $800.00 repair for the Silverado ( wiring harness ) other than regular maintenance including brakes and tires. Installed air bags in the first year. Spent most Winters in Texas and Summers in Ontario, Canada. 5th Wheel is excellent inside and out. Replaced water heater in 2017. The Silverado with just over 200,000 miles, needs rocker panel replaced on the passenger side only.
Plan to keep on trucking for another two years at least with no desire to replace either truck or 5th wheel unless absolutely necessary.

So, anybody with a 10 year+ RV have any problems getting reservations in resort campgrounds? Our traveling friends have to send in current pics or get a reservation dependent on inspection upon arrival. Quite a few RV parks don't accept rigs older than 10 years. We seem to run into this more in the southwest than other places. Just curious.

Been on the road for 11+ years travelling from Canada to Texas, Arizona, Georgia, and Florida and have never been asked/or refused due to the age of our 5th wheel. Only question asked is what size is it??

Never had the problem. We camp mostly in state parks and COE, niether of which are all that picky. I don't get the 10 year rule. But if turned away I will gladly comply right after they show me where in the reservation process they asked me the age of my camper!

I wish I had a shelter for my trailer. If I did, it would look new...instead of just nice.

My first fifth wheel I had for 35 years pulled it with a 1977 F-150 with a 400 gutless wonder for almost 20 years bought a 1995 F-350 extended cab dually with a 460 but pulled the first fifth wheel another 15 years with it. In 2001 I bought my first diesel F-350 four door lariat dually then in 2011 bought my Wildcat and it is now 7 years old. The first fotos are of my old fourwinds and I'm at a campground that only allows 10 year old or newer campers they never gave me any problems with my 20 year old fourwinds. the other fotos are of my Wildcat. and the 2nd to last foto is with the two fivers side by side in the carport when I brought the other one home.

There is a campground in Traverse City, Michigan, next to the golf course by Grand Traverse Resort (as you go up the hill) that not only has a 10 year maximum, but, also limits the type of unit you can have to motor homes, with a small exception for some 5th wheels on occasion. They also have timeshare and outright purchase of lots. We were checking it out, but, since we are just "trailer people" we didn't qualify to even stay the night. But, we were only checking it out. Our preferred campground and one we will continue to stay at is at the other side of town called Holiday Park Campground right on US 31. Beautiful and well kept place with reasonable prices and very nice management. It was formally an Airstream owner's park and has a lot of permanent sites, but, even some of those are for rent when the owner's are vacationing elsewhere and have moved their units. I would highly recommend them instead of the other place.

Bought our first motorhome (Newmar, Kountry Star DP) new in 2001. Finally sold it last year and downsized to a Class C. No regrets.

Congratulations! After several years of other equipment and lifestyle changes we are starting down that 10 year road with our new TV and TT. We've found that this is the best fit for our needs and future family trips.
