We moved to southern Illinois to go to SIUC in late 70’s from northern Illinois and never left. Love it here!! Camping, hiking and area activity are all wonderful!! Enjoy your summer

That’s funny! Good weekend to be there right? Pretty sure we walked past your site and waved about 2 dozen times!

I lived right next to Arnold’s while I was in school there. We actually stopped in there last fall when we were in town. It’s not much different, even smells the same inside....the only change is that you can now buy beer there! Wasn’t the case when I was there.

One of my favorite campsites
I goofed and posted this on the 2018 thread so reposted here. I camped for 3 days at my ranch. The pic that shows the fields that were worked makes them look like they are on about the same level as the shop and rig, actually they are about 100' lower. I unhooked from power one day to test my generators and systems all was good

We just finished a great trip. Left Ohio for a 2 night stop in PA to see Frank Lloyd Wrights Falling Waters House. Well worth the stop, but then on to Cherry Hill Park just north of Washington DC. Yea, nice to visit those big monuments again, but we were there for our NEW GRANDDAUGHTER! It was so nice to visit with our kids near by then relax in the trailer. Awesome park and very nice place to stay. We finished our trip with a secluded quiet night at Big Bear Lake Camplands near Morgantown, WV. Thanks for the referral to that camp PACamp 2020 on the forum.

We spent 1 week at Navarre Beach Camping Resort in March and really enjoyed it. Also spent a week at Santa Rosa RV and like it even better. They have some very nice sites on the sound. Neither place charges extra.

Uchee Creek Army Campground, Fort Benning, GA
The campground is on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee River but still on Fort Benning. Open to families visiting the post for a military graduation or family day, and military ID card holders.
If I'd known this is how the Army camps, I might have joined the Army instead of the Air Force ;-)

Kerr Lake State Park north of Raleigh. 1st time here. No sewer hookups but everything else is great. Spacious private campsites. Sites with great water views (not ours this time but next time we know where to go).

The nice thing about returning to a campground you liked....
You can always tell yourself where to go

Thanks. We had a double red flag day on Thursday and drove down that way and checked out three parks in that area and Santa rosa was one of them. We liked it just to far out of where DW wants to be.
We stayed at camp golf about 7 years ago in one of their cabins. To much sand for me to get in rig.
